Steps for success for small and new employers

Workshops to help employers develop effective employment practices and procedures

As part of its programme of promoting good employment practice and preventing disputes arising in the workplace, the Labour Relations Agency (LRA) regularly hosts advisory workshops led by experienced LRA staff.

The workshops are aimed at all employers, although they may be particularly useful for new employers who don’t yet have all the documentation they need to establish and manage their workforce.

Why should you attend?

The workshops are especially tailored for your needs and run for less than a full day of your time. You will get the close attention of one of the LRA’s employment experts who will help you:

  • develop and maintain essential employment practices and procedures
  • understand your rights and obligationsas an employer
  • become aware of new or developing employment issues

When can you attend?

Workshops are held on the LRA premises in either Belfast or Londonderry on specific dates throughout the year. The next available dates include:

  • 6 September 2011at the LRA’s Regional Office in Londonderry
  • 13 September 2011 at the LRA’s Head Office in Belfast

You can book your place at one of these workshops on the LRA website. Attendance is free of charge.
