Premises registration for health and safety

From 31 October 2011, health and safety premises registration requirement will be abolished.

New regulations are removing the requirements to register under the Factories Act (Northern Ireland) 1965 and also the notification requirements contained in the Office and Shop Premises Act (Northern Ireland) 1966.

This means that from 31 October 2011: factory employers will no longer have to complete the NI9 form and register with the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland office and shop employers will no longer have to complete the OSP1 form and register with their local enforcing authority.

These changes will not affect the registration or form filling requirements of other legislation. Some businesses may still have to register and submit forms under other regulations.
