Entrepreneurs Needed To Save The World

The European economy is under pressure and no one is stepping forward to take charge.

Unemployment, particularly youth unemployment, in many countries is stubbornly high and at levels not seen in recent years.

Many people have lost jobs and there are increasing concerns that long-term job security is a thing of the past.

Real incomes are falling with the expectation that they will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

These difficulties are not new. They have not happened overnight and many people believe they will continue.

The difficulties are largely as a result of globalisation, the embedding of new technologies and increased competition in all areas of business and society.

While much of the discussion about the causes of the economic problems focus on whether globalisation is a good thing or not, there is agreement that globalisation is here to stay.

The general economic climate appears bleak and increasingly difficult to address.

However, once we introduce an additional element in the form of the creative entrepreneur we can see how the situation can be improved.

The challenges we face are no more difficult than the everyday challenges faced by the entrepreneurs among us.

Entrepreneurs don’t look for jobs; they create jobs. Entrepreneurs don’t wait for income to fall; they create new income. Entrepreneurs don’t suffer the effects of globalisation; they create wealth from its opportunities. Entrepreneurs see things differently.

SO, let’s be aware of the challenges but understand the answers reside in the entrepreneurs around us.

What do you think? Are you an entrepreneur who can save the world?
