Bringing her own life and business experience to bear on this workshop, Joanne Sweeney-Burke – mother, wife, trainer, business owner, boss, mentor, triathlete, blogger, media commentator, speaker – asks the question, “so how do you react when life circumstance challenge you? Do you stand still in defence or do you crumble under pressure?”

By the end of this workshop you will be more self-aware and hopefully will have found your passion to fight and problem-solve.

With 2 billion people now using facebook worldwide and twitter, LinkedIN and You Tube normal daily interactivy for most of us, the burning question still remains – how can you make money from social media?

Former journalist, Chamber of Commerce CEO, PR Lecturer, one-time election candidate, Media Box Managing Director, The Apprentice 2011 finalist, married mum of 2, wife of 1, media and political junkie, a radio-head, she loves her voice and telling a story – Joanne Sweeney-Burke takes on a new challenge every year.

The 34-year old started Media Box the day the recession hit Ireland – October 2008. However, as an eternal optimist and a deeply focused individual, she brought her vision from her kitchen table to reality and has grown Media Box consistently year on year. Media Box has now expanded into Galway and has also expanded its Letterkenny office. They employ 9 full and part-time staff.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Sociology & Politics; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Communications and a First Class Masters Degree in Journalism all from NUI, Galway.

Joanne’s story is one that has been told in print, radio, online and last year on TV as part of Tv3’s The Apprentice Programme. However, it is her natural ability to overcome challenges with such fearless ambition that inspires her audiences.
