Job Title:
Administrator/Project Assistant

Location:

Salary:
€23,188 per annum

Hours:
37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reporting to:
Harnessing Creativity Project Officer,
Management Committee of Harnessing Creativity Programme,
Chief Executive, Leitrim County Enterprise Board

Role:
To provide administrative, budget/finance and marketing support to the Co-ordinator of the Harnessing Creativity Project

Summary of main duties
• Administration of the project
• Process purchase invoices, monitor budget and maintain up to date project finance records
• Provide marketing support
• Maintain project files and archives
• Carry out price checks or tenders and monitor contracts of service providers in the project
• Assist with organisation of project events
• Make project-related travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements

Ad-hoc Support
• Answer telephone and email queries and refer appropriately.
• Process incoming and outgoing post as necessary.
• Other duties as requested.

Competencies and qualities
• At least two years’ experience working in administration (business or office)
• Excellent administrative skills
• High level of numeracy and familiarity with basic financial documents
• Excellent IT skills – high level of competence with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel in particular).
• Good organisational skills and ability to cope with several jobs simultaneously and to agreed deadlines
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Terms
• The post will be awarded on a fixed term contract until 31st May 2015
• The selection panel reserves the right to enhance the shortlisting criteria in order to effect a manageable shortlist.

An award-winning not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting its 165 plus member businesses, LDH is based in the Dock Arts Centre, Carrick-on-Shannon, occupying 1200 sq ft of space comprising a showcase/retail outlet and exhibition gallery plus office facilities and is a landmark visitor attraction in the area.
