Omagh Businesses Offered Free Funding And Finance Masterclass

Businesses in Omagh are set to be offered free guidance in securing funding and managing finance in a new masterclass session.

Business in the Community’s (BITC) funding and finance masterclass, which runs at Omagh Enterprise Company from 6.30pm to 9pm on Wednesday September 18, will hear from leading experts who will lend their advice and will be on hand to answer questions.

The event is one of many being delivered by Business in the Community’s Connections Plus, in partnership with Electric Ireland, across Northern Ireland.

These regional workshops offer small to medium sized businesses the opportunity to attend practical, interactive workshops on a range of practical topics designed to help business growth.

Made up of more than 850 successful companies across the UK, BITC promotes responsible business practice, encouraging them to be a force for
good in society.

“Listening to business, we know that funding and finance are big challenges”, explained Connections Plus manager, Steve Pollard.

“Access to finance and positive cash flow are vital for business success.

“Sourcing funding and finance to help your business grow and keeping on top of your credit control can mean the difference between your
business staying afloat or going under – especially in today’s economic climate.

“This free evening seminar will provide small business owners with information about where and how to source funding and finance to develop the business, along with practical tips and advice on how to improve credit control and finance management to ensure your business survives the recession,” he said.

“We are delighted to have the support of the Omagh Enterprise Agency to make this event possible in Omagh.” Ken McKervey, commercial
manager with Electric Ireland, added, “We are proud to be supporting Connections Plus. Successful small businesses are essential to developing and maintaining a healthy economy.

“It’s all the more important for Northern Ireland, which is predominantly made up of small to medium-sized enterprises.

“The support provided by other businesses is vital to the success of this programme so I would urge as many businesses as possible to get involved.”

The free masterclass takes place on Wednesday September 18 (6.30–9pm) at Omagh Enterprise Company, Great Northern Road Omagh, Co. Tyrone BT78 5LU.
