Omagh Firms Attend Cross-Border Digital Event In Enniskillen

Businesses from Fermanagh met up with firms from Tyrone, Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan and Sligo at a cross-border digital marketing event held in Enniskillen last week. The Digital & Social Media Marketing Event, which took place at the Manor House Hotel, Enniskillen, informed local firms on how digital marketing can assist them develop their business, particularly when trading on a cross-border basis.

The workshop was one of a series of digital networking events which are being held as part of Tradelinks 2, a cross border business development programme designed to grow the micro enterprise sector across Northern Ireland and the border counties. Tradelinks, which is funded by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Programme, is a partnership initiative delivered by Enterprise NI, the network of local Enterprise Agencies and the Border County Enterprise Boards.

Speaking at the event was young e-entrepreneur Shauna Gallagher, of Nature’s Inspiration, who spoke of her experiences of growing a successful e-commerce business. Nature’s Inspiration was founded by Shauna, a qualified beauty therapist, a few years ago through her own need for natural beauty products at an affordable price. The firm is now in its fifth year of business and sells over 70 products online to clients from all over the UK and Ireland.

Other speakers at the event included: Claire Cunningham and Breda McGuigan from Aura Internet Services, Monaghan, who spoke about buying & selling on the Internet and the use of mobile apps; Bill McCartney, of Net4Wise Owls in Holywood, who gave a presentation on Social Media; and Daithi Conlan, from Website NI in Benburb, whose specialist topic is Search Engine Optimization.
