Can you describe your business?
We are a Video Production company specialising in corporate video production, Live Streaming and multi camera events.
Why did you start your own business?
Having gained a huge amount of experience in the broadcast industry we recognised that there was a gap in the market for the production and supply of corporate video content and live streaming facilities. Our particular knowledge and skillset is ideally suited to this sector.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Mac AV is comprised of a small team; as such we are intimately involved in all aspects of the business. This gives us a lot of control over the direction in which we wish to steer our firm.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
In recent years the market place has become very competitive. Being a small firm, it is a major challenge to concentrate on delivering output to our trademark high standard while also marketing ourselves and seeking further work.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Our advice to anyone wishing to start their own business is to be prepared to put in long hours. Make sure that you have thoroughly researched the marketplace. Above all make sure that you have a very good business plan.

Exhausting, stressful, satisfying.
