Can you describe your business?
Twos Company offers a range of beauty treatments, particularly specialising in holistic therapies and massage. My main focus is on promoting the overall health and well-being of every client.
Why did you start your own business?
Whilst studying for a degree in Holistic and Integrative Health Therapies, I initially started practising on family and friends at home. I was trying to offer something a little different, creating an environment where people could come and truly switch off. This proved popular and I spotted an opportunity to take this up to the next level and moving to Omagh Enterprise Centre is part of that.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Along with being your own boss and the flexibility that comes with it, I love to see what a difference I can make to someone’s well-being. I treat a wide range of clients, both male and female, and recently I got to work with the University of Ulster GAA team during the Sigerson Cup.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
My main challenge as I become busier, is trying to maintain a consistent high quality experience for my clients. Time management is a key part of this. I am also aware of the need to continually promote my business through social media (i.e. Facebook) and other means to ensure I stand out from the crowd.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Make sure you have a passion for what you are doing, as it’s this that will give you the drive and energy to keep going when you are facing the challenges ahead. It took me until the age of 37 to find what I loved doing, and every day I come into work with a smile on my face. I think this is what has made peoples experience so positive when they have come to visit.
