Can you describe your business?

Beauty Station & Wellbeing centre opened its doors on January 5 2017, offering a range of holistic treatments and wellbeing clinics. Based in Omagh town centre on Market Street at Anderson House, it has disabled access and a friendly surrounding. I would class myself as a people person offering a one-toone appointment service offering the best treatment according to their needs. I offer a range of various massage such as Swedish, Hot Stone, Hot Bamboo, Indian Head, Deep Tissue, Thai Foot, Thai Compress and Hopi Ear Candling. In the coming months, I will be offering Indonesian massage, plus manual lymphatic drainage. I also offer Minimi inch loss wraps, Callus foot peel and clip-in teeth veneers. Lots of people are into selfhealing and wellbeing nowadays, so I have something to offer all customers with monthly fat freeze and microblading clinics. I’m very excited at the range of service I am considering extending into within the next year. I offer a 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday appointments, so clients can work around all other commitments.

Why did you start your own business?

I started to train in holistic treatments last year and discovered this was my passion. I offer treatments that help people feel better within themselves. I felt there was no stress and found it very therapeutic for both myself and the client. People are opting to self heal nowadays more than taking medication.

What are the best things about running your own business?

The best thing about running my own business is that I enjoy coming to my work every morning. I found my passion in my career as a holistic therapist and long may it continue for years to come.

What are the main challenges facing the business?

I find I have to be ahead of the game. So I’m always on the outlook and training in new treatments, which I enjoy doing anyway. It’s always nice to be able to offer new treatment to clients.

What advice would you give to someone starting a business?

Go for it ! Follow your heart. You’ll only regret it if you don’t give it a chance.

Can you describe your experience of running a business in three words or less?

Challenging. Organise. Enjoy
