CITB NI Invest £100k to Help Employers Take on an Apprentice

With skills shortages and an aging workforce putting the industry at risk, CITB NI are appealing to construction employers to take on 100 industry apprentices to help sustain the future of the sector and have invested £100k to help make this happen.

CITB NI have boosted the apprenticeship grants available to registered employers meaning that up to £4000 can be claimed for a fully employed apprentice over a 3 year period. There is also a £1500 grant available from the Department for the Economy for employers who take on an apprentice from the very start right through to completion of NVQ Level 2 and 3.
