Cookstown Firm Boosts Workforce in £1.5m Growth Plan
Co Tyrone firm Enisca Group is to invest over £1.5m in growing its workforce here to over 80 staff.
The construction and engineering company, which is based in Cookstown and works across the power and water sectors in the UK and Ireland, plans to recruit over 40 employees by 2020.
And Invest NI has offered the firm financial support of £260,000 to support the recruitment process.
The drive is part of Enisca Group’s bid to make the most of opportunities in power and water.
And 29 new staff will be employed at Enisca while an additional 15 will work at its group businesses which includes Enisca Browne.
The investment will also support Enisca’s growth plans after it snapped up multiple new long-term contracts and renewed existing contracts.
It counts Northern Ireland Water, Wakefield AD recycling plant and Scottish Water among clients.
Conor King, Enisca group managing director, said: “We want to build on our success in the water and power sectors to date and leverage the significant number of opportunities in the pipeline arising from high value framework contracts with new and existing customers outside Northern Ireland.

When recruitment is complete the company will employ 83 people in Cookstown and over 150 in total across the group, which, in its most recent results achieved sales of £10.3m.
Bill Montgomery, Invest NI’s director of advanced manufacturing and engineering, said: “Invest NI has offered Enisca employment, skills and marketing support totalling over £260,000, supporting the recruitment of 29 of the new jobs as well as training to ensure staff are equipped to successfully compete in tenders. The roles include management, engineers, graduates, designers, electricians and apprentices. Recruitment is underway with several positions already filled.
“Invest NI support is ensuring that Enisca has the resources, expertise and market access to tender for and win valuable contracts in its target industry. This is an example of the many entrepreneurial SMEs we are helping, across Northern Ireland, to realise their growth potential.”
