Can you describe your business?
See See offers web design and creative services to help businesses and people grow and prosper in the digital age. I offer website design for any size of project. If you need to set up an online shop to sell your products or services, or a place to show off your own work and talent, I can help with that. I also offer video and photography services.
Why did you start your own business?
One of the main reasons I started my own business was because I wanted to be my own boss and work towards something that I was truly passionate about. I find that working on your own project is extremely rewarding and you put a lot of effort and hard work into making sure it works.
What are the best things about running your own business?
I love being able to manage my own work schedule and being able to plan my life around it. The flexibility of running your own business is great as you get the work-life balance right and that leads to a happier life. You also get to see and meet some amazing people and learn a lot of new skills while doing it all.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Convincing people of the importance of having a website and not just a Facebook page. The change of digital trends is a great challenge as there are so many new platforms coming out so it is important to keep on top of them so you can offer the best service and advice to your clients.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Just go for it. Get out there and meet as many people as you can and network. Take advantage of all the free help you can get from the likes of Omagh Enterprise and Invest NI. Don’t be scared to take risks and make mistakes, you’ll learn something from them. The unknown part of whether it will work is scary but it’s so rewarding when things work out.
