Can you describe your business?
We are a health and well-being practice. We cover a wide range of alternative and holistic therapies along with chiropody and podiatry. We also have just completed a state of the art building where other therapists can rent space on a part time or a full time basis. We also have a meeting/event/workshop and training space that is fully self contained with kitchen and dining area.
Why did you start your own business?
Our new business, Rosewood Health and Well-being is an opportunity for other therapists to latch onto an already successful business over the past 23 years. With fully-fitted treatment rooms, therapists have no start up costs and just pay for the hours they use work space.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Being successful. Creating employment, giving other therapists mentoring and opportunity, creating a brand that we are proud of, seeing the health benefits our clients receive.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
The main challenges today in any business are your overheads. Rising energy costs and rising business rates in Omagh are making life very difficult for people looking to start their own business.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Just always put your customer first and work really really hard because you will only get out what you put in. Being entrepreneurial is really hard work.

Rewarding. Exciting. Tough.
