Can you describe your business?
I am a hairdresser specialising in cutting, up styling and colours, particularly the latest trend, balayage.
Why did you start your own business?
After working for one of Ireland’s top hairdressing salons, Peter Mark in Belfast and Dublin, I knew the time was right to venture out on my own. My granny had her own hairdressing salon and my mum currently has her own salon, so I would say it really is in the blood!
What are the best things about running your own business?
The best thing would have to be my clients. I love being able to see someone have so much confidence and feel good about themselves because of the way I have done their hair.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Getting your name out there can be hard when starting off so having a Facebook and Instagram business page is very important.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Go for it! Try not to overthink things and enjoy the challenge.
