InterTradeIreland event opens the door to €20billion all-island public procurement market

Over 380 small to medium sized businesses engaged with some of the largest public sector buying organisations from across the island at the event which is designed to raise awareness and understanding of the public procurement market. SMEs gained access to key buyers such as the HSE, An Post, An Garda Siochána and Waterways Ireland amongst others.

Those attending discovered how the public procurement process works and how they could gain access to the €20billion all-island public procurement market. Specialists were on hand to help SMEs understand how to refine their bid and to find out about the latest procurement trends – such as new framework agreements and how to become more strategic to form joint ventures and consortia to win key contracts.

InterTradeIreland will be hosting a further ‘Meet the Buyer’ event in the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown on 27th September. For more information on ‘Meet the Buyer’ or how InterTradeIreland can assist SMEs with public procurement, please visit www.intertradeireland.com/public-procurement

The Meet The Buyer Events are supported by an all-island steering committee including National Procurement Service, Central Procurement Directorate, Invest NI, Enterprise Ireland and the Strategic Investment Board.
