Celebrating Social Enterprise Networking Event

Western Social Enterprise Hubs cordially invites to their “Celebrating Social Enterprise Networking Event”. The pilot programme has completed its first year and the event is an opportunity to see what great work has been achieved and visit and listen to directors from the newly formed Social Enterprises – Collage Collective CIC, Sycamore Studios CIC and BKN which are based at Nugent’s Entry, Enniskillen.

Collage Collective CIC
A group of creative individuals have come together and identified a gap in the market for a craft collective type facility in the Enniskillen area. Through support and help of the programme they opened their doors to their social enterprise on 1st April 2015. The collective currently have 27 different producers stocked in their retail craft shop and are working on the development of a programme of workshops to be delivered in the upstairs of the premises.

Sycamore Studios CIC
This is a newly formed social enterprise that will offer a music recording studio, workshops, music lessons and support to musicians in the local and surrounding areas. There is no facility like this in the area and it has been equipped with all the necessary equipment and technology to meet the needs of the music industry. Sycamore Studios CIC opened on 1st April 2015.

BKN
Ernevale Beacon Centre a registered charity that work with individuals with mental health based in Enniskillen identified the opportunity for a social enterprise. BKN will operate as a new social enterprise that will provide retail of upcycled furniture that has been completed by members, workshops and traditional crafts and also a recovery café. BKN aim to be open for the end of April 2015.

The event will also have experienced social entrepreneur Gerard Harkin, Strabane District Caring Services as guest keynote speaker, who will provide a presentation on what it take to start up and keep going as a successful social enterprise.

Cost: Free to attend

This event is free to attend but space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
