2015 Omagh Business Awards Launched

The eagerly anticipated 2015 Omagh Business Awards, organised by the Ulster Herald and Omagh Chamber of Commerce, were officially launched this week in paper.

The Awards aim to celebrate local business dedication, commitment and success and in particular those who show initiative, business acumen and a great determination to grow the local economy.

THE AWARDS

Businesses can now enter any of the nine awards on offer and recipients will be announced at the Gala Awards Night in the Silverbirch Hotel on Saturday 24th October, 2015.

By entering you can raise your profile, prove your excellence, acknowledge your team efforts and impress partners and clients. The full list of awards is detailed in the box on this page.

2014 SUCCESS

Delighted with last year’s award for joint business person, Michael McCaul of JMG Systems said, “We weren’t expecting it at all and it is such an honour. But we are just the front people of the organisation, there’s a huge team behind us that have done a lot of good work over the last ten years to get us where we are today.”

Joann McCaul of JMG Systems went on to say, “It was a very proud moment. I’m still reeling from it but it’s lovely to get some recognition. As Michael says, we have a wider team who work very hard and are so committed to the organisation.”

CHAMBER & HERALD PARTNERSHIP

With the past four years a huge success for the joint Chamber and Herald awards, Dominic McClements, President, Omagh Chamber of Commerce paid recognition to the standing of the awards within the local community:

“These Business Awards are about celebrating the success of local businesses and employers, recognising their hard work and paying tribute to their many achievements. Omagh has much to be proud of and the awards recognise not just the companies that contribute to the vibrancy of the District, but the talented and brilliant people employed within them across a range of business sectors

Highlighting the benefits of the Awards, Nigel McDonagh, Ulster Herald title editor, stated, “This is a great opportunity for local businesses to enter an awards initiative that will recognise and reward success, talent and all that’s good about business in the Omagh area. The Ulster Herald is delighted to be co-organiser of the biggest, most positive business event here in Tyrone.
