Can you describe your business?
I sing at Weddings, Funerals, Drink Receptions, Month Mind & Anniversary Masses.
Why did you start your own business?
I had been singing for family and friends at services like this with Patrick Bradley accompanying me on guitar, and I began getting enquiries from other clientele. I decided to set up a Facebook Music Page to deal with all enquiries there, and it blossomed! Thanks to that, I’m busier than ever!
What are the best things about running your own business?
I love Wedding’s- and thanks to this I get to see and be a part of them loads throughout the year! I have had a lot of support from past families that I have sang for, and I love that I’ve made an impact for them in some way.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
I have to be very organised and prepared. I have recently just opened my 2020 Wedding diary, and although that seems so far away, I have to have my year planned so far in advance so that everything can run smoothly for my brides & grooms!
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Take it slow, it can be overwhelming to begin with. Ask questions to people who are in the same field, they can help! For those who are considering venturing down the route of Ceremony Music, I advise to make lists, and get yourself a diary for every year to keep everything right- I colour code everything.
