Transforming Construction Breakfast Seminar

Event to highlight innovation and funding opportunities for the construction sector

The UK Government has committed to investing £170 million – matched by £250 million from industry – to modernise construction processes and techniques, such as using digital design and standardised, modular components for offsite manufacture.

This commitment is part of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and aims to transform construction by supporting industry in adopting technologies and constructing buildings 50 per cent faster, 33 per cent cheaper and with half the lifetime carbon emissions.

Through this challenge, the UK government is looking to industry and researchers to innovate in construction, increase productivity across the UK and open up significant global markets for efficient buildings.

Innovate UK, Invest Northern Ireland and Ulster University will host a breakfast seminar this month that focuses on the challenges in the construction sector and opportunities for innovation.
