Grá Ultana Ltd is primarily a publishing company, developing creative and innovative resources to motivate children and adults. “The Heroic Escapades of Whiz Macgael”, a debut book for age 7+, has just been published. The three entertaining stories, colourful photographs and antics cleverly introduce dog empathy and responsibility, fire risks, water rescue and safety as well as early language learning for Irish and French. Why did you start your own business?
In retrospect, a motivational talk by Louise Hay, on her pioneering publishing company, inspired me to establish my own.
What are the best things about running your own business?
Skillfully manifesting new resources is encouraging and engaging.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Writing and developing beautiful high-quality products has taken considerable time and reserves. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and am delighted by the outcome.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
Understand the important requirements to develop your company and products at the outset. Ensure you budget financially and schedule sufficient time. Aim assiduously for quality and innovate!
