Can you describe your business?
My business is complementary Therapies. I offer a range of Holistic treatments . Reflexology,Aromatherapy massage, Indian Head massage, Swedish Body Massage, Reiki, Hot and Cold stone massage , Care for Cancer Reflexology, Pregnancy aromatherapy massage and prenatal Reflexology. I work with young children pregnant ladies and everyone else in between. My business is based at Luna Hair and beauty in Newtownstewart.
Why did you start your own Business?
My business started from a hobby.. Ten years ago I trained as a Reflexologist. I practised as a Reflexologist working with Family and friends to maintain my skills. In January i took the opportunity of Voluntary Redundancy from a full time role, where I worked in the community within the disability sector. . This now allowed me the opportunity to turn my hobby into a business.
What are the best things about running your own business.
Being able to do what you love every day for a living. is such a wonderful gift . When we love what we do it does not feel like work.
What are the main challenges facing the business?
Grow my client base. Continue to deliver exceptional service. Keeping current with the various Social Media platforms.
What advice would you give to someone starting a new business?
Avail of the various mentoring, support and advice services. Be prepared to be fully committed . Do not give up. (believe in yourself)
