Date Confirmed For CAFRE’s Equine Management Conference

The date has been set for this year’s College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) Equine Management Conference.

Always a highly useful event for all those involved in the equine management industry, this year’s conference will take place on Wednesday, March 25 at CAFRE’s Enniskillen base.

As ever, the conference will deliver completely up to date technical information on a wide range of topics relevant to equine management. Speakers at the conference will also share new research data that will enable those taking part to manage their horses much more effectively. And, those in attendance will have the chance to ask questions at the end of each session of the conference.

This year’s speakers will include Anke Twigg-Flesner from Hartpury University in Gloucester who will discuss rugging practices, Tamzin Furtado from the University of Liverpool who will speak on equine metabolic disorders, John Burford from the University of Nottingham who will discuss colic and recent advances in colic surgery and Shane Collins from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) who will talk about equine influenza and vaccination practices.

Attendance at this event will count towards CPD for BHS Accredited Professional Coaches. Pre booking is essential as places are limited. There will be a registration fee of £25 which includes lunch.
